Featured Friday: DuPont - Parlin Plant, 1.3 MW ground mount
This summer we were busy working with Tangent Energy on the installation of this week’s Featured Friday project, DuPont’s Parlin, New Jersey manufacturing facility. Some facts about the system from DuPont’s press release:
The installation is designed to generate approximately 1,684,170 kilowatt hours (kWh) in its first year of operation, roughly equivalent to the electrical demand of 145 average U.S. households…
At 1.3 megawatts direct current (DC), the new installation at Parlin is the largest solar array on a DuPont manufacturing site in North America.
On this closeup photo, you can see the ballast peeking through the end caps, which safely enclose the ballast and wiring, protecting them from the elements and wildlife.
